Wedding Advice - from a "veteran" bride

Its no surprise that I see a LOT of weddings, I've seen and heard a lot of things, and I've also been in that position myself. Because I tend to spend more time with the Bride & Groom on their big day I take very seriously that my position is always to be calm, friendly and help keep things running smooth (as much as a photographer can!). I just wanted to share a few tips to make your day that little bit less stressful:

Krystal and Fintan are such an amazing couple and I was honoured to capture the love they have for each other on a gorgeous evening in the last couple weeks of summer. They met on the 15th May, got engaged on the 15th May 3 years later, and are getting married on the 15th May THIS year in Waihi! How cool is that?!?
After a quick change in locations I was also so excited when I found out that I would be doing their shoot on Krystals parents' amazing property in West Auckland - its a photographers dream! While the weather didn't quite turn on what we had originally hoped ...

The morning started early for me and my assistant Kirsty, driving nearly 5 hours to Karekare Peninsula in Northland from Auckland, though a long drive its a very typical New Zealand picturesque one. Its winter, and brrrr its cold...sometimes wedding planning in this weather can seem a little discouraging. I like to get together with other wedding vendors in these chilly months to set up some inspiration shoots for brides-to-be.
